We specialize in gently used hardback library books that have been withdrawn from circulation.

These books are typically offered at an annual library sale.

Those not sold are often sent to recycling centers. We've "rescued" them for faithful readers like you!

About RescuedBooks

RescuedBooks was started April 2001 and launched May 2001.

Janet "rescued" hardback library books from the local recycling center after the local annual library sale was concluded. This was the first step toward the long-term dream of eventually owning a used book store.

All the books are safely stored on shelves and are handled as carefully as possible. Most are in very good condition (exceptions are noted in the details page).

With mixed emotions, Rescued Books will be closing due to inventory depletion after 8 very fun years..

Janet's goal of saving the used books from shredding has almost been met, and inventory is almost depleted.

Plus, used book sales are a very big part of our local culture for fundraising, and we'd like to support those charitable organizations while keeping the books in circulation.
